Cannot load DVD-Rs that use a particular protection type

MakeMKV seems unable to load discs that contain 99 titles (mostly fake obviously), and hangs up at the initial "loading disc" screen. I've had this happen on multiple occasions with multiple titles, and they're all brand new manufactured-to-order DVD-Rs. Handbrake is able to load them, so my workaround has been to use Handbrake to export a lossless version and then process it from there as I normally would. Is this a known issue with MakeMKV and is there a better workaround? Thanks!

I've never run into that problem, so I'm guessing. MakeMKV has different opening modes for DVDs (https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=28541)

Trying the different modes might help.
