shasum isn't matching

I tried downloading makemkv files
https://makemkv.com/download/old/makemk ... 7.7.tar.gz
https://makemkv.com/download/old/makemk ... 7.7.tar.gz

and they gave me the wrong shasum.

But when I ran them through virus total I think it reported the correct one. However CRDF reported the files as "malicious". It's actually doing that with other files from makemkv. I think I recall it giving false positives in the past though.

I did download a couple files from another site and their checksum was correct.

The checksum routine is broken, it's double compressed, for example decompress with:
