Harddrive folders mounts not shown Linux Mate 24.04 MakeMKV 1.18.2
I've just upgraded to Linux 24.04 Mate over the weekend and did install MakeMKV (paid registration) using the built-in App-Center. I'm a long time user and the program seems to work fine with one major exception: when I'm trying to choose a different backup folder in the folder selection menu then nothing is shown beneath "/mnt" although two partitions are properly mounted and accessible in any other program. The only idea I had to circumvent this for now was adding a bind mount in fstab which basically works. Any ideas why the folder selection menu is not showing the tree correctly and what to do about it? Thanks!

What distro of Linux are you using and which folder selection menu are you talking about, is it in the preferences menu where you set the default backup or is it in the main screen itself?

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm on Linux Mate. I cannot access the folders beneath /mnt or /media in any folder selection menu within MakeMKV. It affects the folder selection in the preferences menu where you choose the default folder as well as the menu were you can select/change the backup folder at the start of any given backup. If it's a permission issue do you have an idea why this is the case especially with this program and how to prove/fix it? It did install quite a lot of software using snaps as well as usual packages without experiencing the same problem - apart from gimp I should note where you have to explicitly set permission to use removable media in order to use the folders mentioned.Sounds like a permissions issues to me.
