AV Synchronization Issue For DVD Discs 2 and 3

#1 Post by Zebra3 » Sun Dec 07, 2025 12:30 am

I wonder if someone can help me. I'm trying to create files from 3 DVD discs of a TV series. Disc 1 was read and copied just fine. Discs 2 and 3 are read okay but then get hung up during the "Opening DVD disc" stage and the program won't complete this step like it did for disc 1.

Here's the message that repeats over and over:
The source file '/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB' is corrupt or invalid at offset 2492416, attempting to work around

And this is the final message it leaves off with:
Too many AV synchronization issues in file '/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB' (title #-) , future messages will be printed only to log file

I have the latest update. I cleaned the discs and they look perfect. I tried a restart of the program and my Pioneer drive. I've copied a ton of discs (usually blu-rays) and never had this problem. I don't usually copy DVDs and this set is pretty old so I don't know if that has something to do with it.

And ideas on how to get past this issue?

Much appreciated.

Just a quick update. After seeing it get hung up again on disc 2 I thought I'd try leaving it and I occupied myself elsewhere for a few hours. When I returned, it had read the disc and was ready to copy! So I guess sometimes certain discs like these just need a lot more time.
