ASUS SBW-06DSH-U

Post by uuid:87a0924b-01cc-4 »

Hi

I'm new here, so please forgive me if I may ask/do something wrong.

But I am a little confused to what Information I have found about the ASUS SBW-06DSH-U.
Its a Slimline USB3 Drive
The drive just got Into my possession today and I am not fully sure if and how I could flash that drive.
It looks like this drive is also somewhat equipped with two different drives as seen here viewtopic.php?f=1&t=40140&p=188776&hilit=06D5H#p188776

This is the data from my drive:

Code: Select all

Drive Information
OS device name: D:
Manufacturer: ASUS
Product: SBW-06D5H-U
Revision: A102
Serial number: MO6O52B1749
Firmware date: 2124-08-05 14:55
Bus encryption flags: 1F
Highest AACS version: 46

LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: MT1959

No disc inserted

At the moment It can not read 4K Disks, but as the LibreDrive Status shows it might be possible, right?
Drive platform MT1959 looks promising to me after so many hours of research. But I don't feel confident enough to try anything yet.

MakeMKV also has created a Firmware dump called

Code: Select all

dump_FW_D31BAFE06EF44A207338.tgz
that I'll send to them

Can anybody help me on my way of trying to make this dive LibreDrive enabled?
Or if I should return it?
