MakeMKV freezing during title scan on some Blu-rays

Hi everyone, I’m new here and running into a problem with MakeMKV that I’m not sure how to diagnose. A few of my Blu-ray discs load normally, but as soon as the title scan starts, the program just hangs with no progress. Other discs from the same batch work fine, so it doesn’t seem like a general drive issue.

I’ve already updated MakeMKV and tried another drive, but the behavior is the same. Before I assume these discs are just defective, I wanted to ask: is this kind of freeze usually related to unusual disc structure or protection, or is there something in the settings or logs I should be looking at first?

Any pointers would really help. Thanks!

You could try gently cleaning the disc.
