Do software have legion lock?.. i live in turkey and i bought blueray film in my country ...any problems because of this software

Region lock doesn't have to do with the firmware. Makemkv doesn't care about it.

got this used Pioneer S09XLT drive today and firmware says from 2014.
As expected it reads normal BluRays but not 4K UHD discs.
Is it possible to flash the drive?
