Hi everyone,
This is my first post, so apologies if it has been asked before.
Over the weekend I tried ripping my physical copies of three A24 films (Good Time, Midsommar, and Hereditary). In each case, after MakeMKV opens the disc, I see what appears to be the same movie file listed over and over again. Each file has a different name, but how do I determine which one is the correct file to rip?
I understand this is intended to make things more difficult, but I wanted to ask if anyone else has run into this, and if so, how they sorted it out.
Thank you.
A24 Movies: How do I rip blu-rays where the title is listed multiple times?

Some discs have playlist obfuscation. It was a tactic some studios used for a time to try to prevent their discs from being ripped as you're about to do.
There's probably a thread on the forum most any disc with this that you'll run into.
Midsommar
Hereditary Blu Ray Playlist Obfuscation
There's a couple of threads I found after a quick search.

Here's a post I made a while ago with more details about the topic: https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=128196#p128196

I often use the method in the guide which works quite well. You can use other players than PowerDVD as well, if you change the filter accordingly.
If the number of entries is not too great the first half of the guide is sufficient.
If there is a very large list of entries, the bottom section of the guide can help you find the right playlist faster but I have also used BDinfo to narrow down the playlist.
