Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to examin the contents of each subtitle within a bluray before ripping with MAKEMKV? I am asking this because all I want to rip are the English 'Forced' subtitles.. Sorry if this has been asked before( I am sure it must have somewhere), but I cant find it.

Not easily. And also bear in mind that forced subtitles can be in a non-forced track that is switched on through software, so you really want to take all English tracks and then check the contents to determine whether they should in fact be forced.
I rip all subtitles to MKV and then use eac3to to extract the potentially duplicate tracks and then compare them in bdsup2sub. Then I use mkvmerge to remux, getting rid of any superfluous tracks.
It would be great to do it as a one-step process but this doesn't take long and works well given that you don't know what to expect straight off.

As Mike wrote in another thread, he has to parse the entire stream cause some items of a regular stream may be flagged as forced. So if you check forced subs only in MakeMKV you should get only those if the disc is authored properly. Manually extracting them from 40 GB MKVs can take a while.
