Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1

#1 Post by AndroidXS » Sun Feb 12, 2012 4:09 am

It looks like Breaking Dawn Part 1 has some serious copy protection on it. When I scan the disc, it shows that there are over 30 versions of the movie, all the same size, which is impossible.

Has anyone figured out which is the correct title yet?

I believe I have figured out the correct sequence of segments..

None of the titles have numbers, but you can click on each one until you see "Source file name: 00689.mpls" (it's the 15'th from the bottom).

Title information
Name: Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 Blu-ray™ (English)
Source file name: 00689.mpls
Duration: 1:57:08
Chapters count: 17
Segment count: 14
Segment map: 509,505,511,501,507,503,512,508,504,514,502,513,510,506
File name: t60_Twilight_Saga_Breaking_Dawn_-_Part_1_Blu-ray.mkv

Thanks for taking the time to post.

Movie studios making a bunch of different playlists is a minor annoyance at best.

I just selected the first one in the list and it worked fine.

What is the difference if you select the first or 15th one?

The disc manufacturer has put multiple versions of the movie on the disc. Only one of them will have the scenes in the right order, the rest will be out of sequence.

It's a (rubbish) form of copy protection.

I've read reports saying 504.mpls is the right playlist as well. Make sure you check your rips!

Looks like it only has Dolby Digital 5.1 no DTS unless I'm missing something. Not at home to check my disc so just going off screen shots above.

It seems from reading other forums that the rental edition does not have the DTS-HD audio track.

I can't seem to get to the point of looking at the playlists - every time I try to rip it, it gives me a "backup failed" when it started to copy the first .jar file.

Has anyone confirmed that this has to correct sequence of segments?

I can confirm that 00689.mpls / t60 is indeed the correct file.

FWIW, I couldn't even watch this via the Bluray disc. It wouldn't work in CyberLink PowerDVD 9 or DAPlayer. It's pretty sad when the disc makers actually create reasons for people to rip their discs when their goal is the exact opposite.
