MakeM<KV 1.7.2 and 1.7.1 Failed BluRay Rip

The Conspirator (Robert Redford Directed-2011 release with AACS v21) BluRay gives the following error messages under Make MKV 1.7.2 (purchased) running on Dual quad core 2.8GHz Intel Xeon Mac Pro with .MacOS 10.6.8 despite disk cleaning, permission repair, and restart. I also had the same experience with v 1.7.1 Despite earlier flawless function (years) the most current 2 versions of MakeMKV will not successfully rip this BluRay ......

Medium error suggests a bad disk....especially if done on two different systems with the same errors.

I successfully ripped this disk about a month ago, though it was a previous version of makemkv. Have you tried using an older version of makemkv to eliminate either the disk or your drive as the source of the failure?

Tried it with 1.6.5 through 1.7.0. The initial error always comes up during decrypting while the disc is being opened. Still no luck. Guess I will try another disk. Drive is fine. Ripped 2012 since the first post so I'm sure the drive is fine.

Then it certainly sounds like the disc is at fault - either dirty, physically damaged, or a manufacturing problem.

By all means, return it to the place of purchase in exchange for a new replacement...
