Cross Flashing Firmware on Mac OS

Post by gtijo »

So I just downloaded makeMKV and got one of the recommended drives, from reading the flashing guide I thought I flashed properly. From reading these forums I know that the firmware needs to have a K at the end. I think I need to cross flash, but there isn't a command that I am seeing for cross flashing. I did download the hybrid firmware, but I don't want to brick anything so I just wanted to confirm how I should cross flash. I am under the assumption I need do the same step as I did for flashing the first time but use the hybrid firmware. I know I could just try it but I would rather ask and look dumb than mess up my drive permanently. I included my drive and libre drive info.

./makemkvcon f -d '/IOBDServices/insert_drive_type' -f /tmp/sdf.bin rawflash enc -i /tmp/DE_LG_BP50NB40-NB50_1.01_MK_HBD
