ASUS_BW-16D1HT question

#1 Post by ricola » Thu Sep 18, 2025 7:53 pm

Hi all,

So I just successfully flashed my ASUS_BW-16D1HT from 3.11 (from factory) to 3.10MK and now am curious if there is any reason to try moving to a different FW or just stay here?

Thanks!

You can stay, ripping and burning will be fine. But you'll have the sleep bug. You can avoid by flashing to WH16NS60 1.02MK. Ripping and burning will also be fine and no bug.

In addition: The WH16NS60 1.02 handles 3-layer UHDs (>66GB) better reading them in. The ASUS firmware will often make some sick noises reading them in and will sometimes also fail to do so.
