Hi all
I got some BD with AACS directory but without any info (which is unencrypted actually)
But MakeMKV will still report failed to open the disc for those BD.
I need to workaround it by dump the BD and remove AACS directory and convert to ISO again to do the dump.
Is it possible to add more check to empty AACS, to treat it as unencrypted BD to dump?
Thanks
Empty AACS dir support
Re: Empty AACS dir support
Can you use MakeMKV's backup function to copy the disc to a folder on your storage? On the first screen of MakeMKV choose the icon with the yellow folder and green arrow.
If that works and opening the backup fails, then just delete the AACS folder from the backup. Then try opening the backup again.

Re: Empty AACS dir support
I tried backup first, and remove AACS directory.
It works fine.
If MakeMKV can detect AACS folder without any enough part to decrpyt. (It always has AACS and AACS/duplicate these two folders only without any other files)
It should be helpful without twice copy.
Anyway still thanks for the help!

Re: Empty AACS dir support
There are some BD will have incorrect resuloution problem with these steps (backup first and conver later)
16:9 in BD with direct playback is fine.
but mkv file with incrroect resulution.
Still checking what happen
