I would like to use a previous version (1.6.16) but when I enter the current registration code it never works, I just get the request to use newer version of put in a registration code.
Is it possible to use an older version? I am not using a paid registration code, just the one listed that is good until February.
The reason I wanted to try a earlier version is I have had problems with 1.7 ripping a dvd which is 16:9 and it plays 4:3, but this did not happen with version 1.6.16.

MakeMKV is in testing at the moment. That's why you get to use it for free. No point letting people test the old version is there?
One of the advantages of being a paid user is you're never forced to upgrade.

Thanks for the answer, I understand; certainly that is fair.
