After encountering a SCSI error (which I unfortunately did not capture, and I didn't have debug on so I don't know what even happened but it included numbers, so I can only assume it's one of the errors with the offset numbers), my Blu-ray ripper suddenly stopped recognizing my CDs. Now it'll take forever to load a disc (it makes a lot of sounds when it does that when it didn't do that before) & it'll say I don't have the disc inside after a huge loading time. It does this to discs that I've previously ripped before without fail, so I'm pretty sure it's a hardware/software error rather than a CD issue.
Strangely, the ONLY blu-ray/DVD it can now recognize is the one it error-ed out on, but the read rate is too slow for the rip to actually go through. (300k/s rather than the 800mb/s that I usually got on the drive).
I've tried reinstalling the blu-ray player's driver, turning off my computer and putting it back multiple times, but it keeps doing this. Does anyone know what could cause anything like this and how to fix it?
Computer won't recognize blu-rays and DVDs at all after SCSI error
