3D Blu Ray Back Up

Are people backing up 3d Blurays.
Is it as simple as backing up Blu Rays

This question was asked and answered several times on this forum. Current MakeMKV version, 1.7.2 will save all 3D data when doing a full-disc backup, but will only produce 2D MKV files. Very soon, most likely in the next version, MakeMKV would be able to save 3D MVC stream in MKV file. With current state of things, most players would be able to play such MKV file in 2D only.

You can make a full disc backup of 3D disc today, and make 3D MKV out of it with the next version.
