. Only discovered makemkv last month, not really knowing what is going on (how it all works) 
.... So on a converted bluray player to play 4k (an LG), followed all the instructions and everything was working fine. That was until the beginning of the months last beta update. I'm guessing some playback of some blueray and 4k on VLC is also dependent of makemkv being updated? (Guessing)
If I try and play some of my bluerays or 4k movies with vlc player I get an AACS error after August the 1st with no beta key update.
If I set the clock back and use the last beta mkv beta key everything plays play fine on vlc...
This does not happen for all blurays just some. Is there a way I can play all the blurays on vlc without having to set the clock back? Is there something I am doing wrong for this to happen? (this was updated to latest version keydb.cfg) is there something else I can update for them to play correctly?

examples not working unless you set the clock back and mkv is working.... are apocalypse now 4k and blueray, escape from new york 4k and blueray, X-files full box series (any).
Some examples of ones that work without setting clock back blade runner 4k, ghost in the shell 4k, 2001 space odyssey blueray.
ps: was in the process of buying to play my stuff until the pause
I can set the clock back burn and watch at a later date. But I don't want to do unless I have to
Obviously a purchase is far better and easier than going though this much crap just to use vlc to view blurays and 4k movies.
