Can't Buy a License

As of 8/9/25, the beta key is broken. It says that the latest version is too old and won't run. I am willing to purchase a permanent license key, but I can't. The link takes me to the PayPro Global site and it gives an error: 'The action is temporarily unavailable' Doing a search on the PayPro Global web site for MakeMKV or even just MKV, it yields no search results. Suggestions???

As of when you posted your message, there were over two dozen "can't run because of license message threads active on the forum. Do you think yours will fix the often-reported issue?

The first thing I usually do before posting on a forum for help is to look and see if others are having similar issues, which clearly is the case. There is no additional information to provide that isn't in one of the many other threads on the subject.

It has been a frustrating 10 days on this forum and folks are getting a little cranky.

You're correct, the ability to purchase MakeMKV is currently broken. It seems PayPro Global ran out of a stock of permanent keys to hand out when someone buys MakeMKV. This was unexpected. The beta key is also expired. The program's author, Mike, has not made a public statement or anything that I'm aware of. That just leaves us with a lot of speculation.

In my view, this is just an unfortunate confluence of events. Hopefully soon it'll all get sorted out. In the meantime we all need a little patience and grace. If you want to use MakeMKV but don't have a permanent key, you'll have to look around the forum for instructions on how to set your computer's clock back in time.

Because you apparently just don't know how to read.

Regardless of what your title says - literally every other recent post (from people who apparently also lack the ability to read) is asking/complaining/repeating the same exact thing.

• The beta key being expired

• Buying a license but not receiving it

• Being unable to buy a license

• Mike being awol

• Not being able to use a program some guy has spent who knows how long building probably by himself while offering a ability to use in a free-ish capacity to everyone else

The answer has been the same every single time.
You can trick the software by changing the system time on your machine, including suggestions depending on what platform you are using.
No, we don't know when he'll be back.
The best we can do is simply wait for him to come back and hope whatever reason for his absence isn't something too serious because he's a human too.

Got to say I read it properly the first time and guess what... It's no different from the rest of the posts that are already up.

Normally you join a forum search for the problem and if you couldn't find any new post then you ask for help, with this particular problem there isn't any need to search as it's always being talked about.
