LibreDrive for Pioneer drives

Hi,

I have just purchased a flashing kit from billycar5924@gmail.com to crossflash my pioneer BDR-209M drive.

It reads bd100 uhd and blu-ray discs with no problem, but it just will not read my Incredibles 2 UHD disc? I do not know if it is because they use bd66 uhd discs or if this is a limitation of crossflashing.

Has anyone else had issues reading some uhd discs, while other read fine?

I'd love your any feedback please.

i already told you the issue is your disc or the drive not the firmware or cross flashing

i told you to try cleaning the disc or exchange it if that dont work.

there is no special drm disney uses to make drives not recognize discs as you theorized in the email its not a thing. kinda tired of hearing that...

Yeah, don't write directly to your NAS drive. It would probably be quicker (and less wear and tear on the NAS drives) to write to your PC drive, especially if you have a SSD, then move the mkv file to your NAS once completed.

"Funny" thing is, I've given similar advice to others over the years...but, yesterday, when settings things up, I completely forgot my own advice (things like that happen when you get up there in years...sometimes I joke that "my brain & body are having a fight to see which falls apart first"). Unfortunately (for me), I had to stop the mkv process, as I had forgotten that I had already started the process of moving data back to the NAS (after the change, from RAID 10 to RAID 5) from the external drive I had temporarily stored the data on. Even though my computer's CPU can easily handle it (Intel Core-i9), I didn't want to induce possible "file corruption". Once the data previously on the NAS is back on the NAS, then I'll restart the ripping. Plus, once all that data is back on the NAS, and once I move data from the PCs 'spare' internal 4TB drive to the external drive, then I'll have that drive to use as a "holding tank" for ripping (followed by transferring from that drive to the NAS).

The next part of my 'plan' is to pick up a new NAS case (I'm currently considering the Synology DS425+, which has a considerably more-powerful CPU than my current DS918+), transfer the "Plex" drives to the new case, put the old WD Red 4TB drives back in the DS918+, and have access to two separate NAS units - DS425+ as the "Plex server", and DS918+ as my "data NAS". However, since that's another $500+ for the DS425+, plus the cost of M.2 SSDs & RAM, that's at least a few months away (as I also have motorcycle upgrade costs to deal with). Regarding my current thought on getting the Synology DS425+, if you, or anyone else, has any better suggestions, my ears are open. I'd prefer not having to use Docker, as that just adds more "complications" to my setup (and I really don't understand Docker), so suggestions that allow installing Plex Server natively on the NAS is preferential.

Hey! im pretty new here, I Bought a second Asus Bw-161DX-U and im wondering if this is also a S12U or BDR-209MBK 4k-UHD friendly?
I recieved a flashkit for my previous (thanks @coopervid) and im unsure if i can use the same kit and files for this new device?
I legit tried do the textbook stuff googling around in order to not breach the warranty on beforehand but im still thrilled how some just can tell what it is out from the specs.

Just purchased the software today when I saw the page was fixed, and registered to type this. I tagged this post because I have the exact same drive and firmware and want to know how to flash my drive. Any help is truly appreciated. I'll keep perusing the forum but hope to hear from you.

Please post your own Makemkv info. I will then send the package.
