Re: What is the deal with the KEY?
New on the forum, but been using the program for awhile now, and like many here, been using the program for free without buying a permanent key.
I tried back dating my computer to July 2025 and using the last free beta key...works perfectly.
I also tried changing the date on my computer, and opening the program, and then changed the computer date back to August 2025, and...it worked ripping the disk!!
I'll try again tomorrow when I have more time to see if I change the date, open the program, then change the date to the actual date if I can continue ripping disk after disc if I leave the program open.

NO OFFENSE??! I'm sorry, but your comment doesn't reflect your statement. So first of all, fuck you. And finally - fuck you again, BITCH.CrashDavis88 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 10:47 pmNo offense but some of you people need to stop being ungrateful BITCHES. I personally feel lucky we have this program and it has been free for so long to use. It will be a sad loss if Mike doesn't continue to maintain it but it has been a helluva ride. Anyone paying for these tools is a chump anyways!!seamus wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 10:35 pmIt's been a week since I started this thread. Unfortunately, nothing has been resolved yet wrt any updated keys - and the ability to purchase a key is now lost due to "Mystery Mike" being AWOL. I know I'm not the only one who is disappointed with this situation.[/i].

Now, now. Let's all be nice here.
None of us know whats going on with Mike and the beta key problems. Looks like this program has been around for free for a long time. And many of us haven't purchased the key, just using the free version.
Let's be thankful and grateful for this program and especially to Mike who has allowed us to enjoy it for so long.
And, just in case this program or website goes away, make sure you have the install program and the last free beta key archived, preferably on your computer and a backup external drive.

Cry more. You know I'm right. Also I didn't single you out specifically but you obviously took offense. If the shoe fits brother, it fits. You don't appreciate this program?? Do you think you are entitled to it? LOL!!

Why would you pay $60 when something has been free since its' inception??sweakley0299 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 10:58 pmSame here with the key purchase. Took my $60 but no key

To support the people who have allowed you to use this software for free for all these years. It's called giving thanks.CrashDavis88 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 07, 2025 12:39 amWhy would you pay $60 when something has been free since its' inception??sweakley0299 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 10:58 pmSame here with the key purchase. Completely agree. I am amazed at how many folks are entitled and MAD because they paid for something that literally NO ONE has had to pay for before. They are ANGRY because their "woobie" is interrupted basically. It's hilarious.darkknightkjm wrote: ↑Thu Aug 07, 2025 12:03 amNow, now. Let's all be nice here.

Yes I think dumps are still being submitted for new discs and working as of right now.CrashDavis88 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 10:54 pmThat's great that we can still use it by changing the PC date but will new keys get added when discs come out? Anyone else besides Mike do that??

Re: What is the deal with the KEY?
I got recommended this program today. So far I can't use it, unless I set my date back. I'm not in a rush, so I'll give it a week or so. But I'll tell you what, it makes me tempted to shell out the money for the permanent key, just so this doesn't happen again. It would be nice if it were $30 instead of $60. At this point I just want to try it and see if I like it.

Been trying to buy a permanent key for several days now. Link leads to payment gateway that says action is unavailable.

Re: What is the deal with the KEY?
We've been very lucky to have this program for free all these years. Some did pay for a permanent key. Why pay when it's free? To help pay for its creation. So as to not have to wait days for another free key. To help offset the cost of updates. And to give back.
Some can't afford to pay. Some might be used to getting things for free. Some might just hate paying for things they think should be free.
It sounds like those who bought a key in August 2025 will be getting what they paid refunded so no harm there.
And we can hope Mike is doing well, and will give us an update on all of this soon enough. After so many years of a free program, and free upgrades, I think we should all cut him some slack. Give him the benefit of the doubt.
And let's be nice to each other. There's too much hate and anger in this world. Let's be a community to help each other. Let's at least be friendly. Let's avoid name calling.

Re: What is the deal with the KEY?
I suspect that most would happily pay the 60 bucks so that in the future, they don't run into this exact situation where the "free" part doesn't do a whole lot of good if the application won't run without a key that isn't being published.CrashDavis88 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 07, 2025 12:39 amWhy would you pay $60 when something has been free since its' inception??sweakley0299 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 10:58 pmSame here with the key purchase. In the past, there was always a delay in publishing the updated key, but this feels like something entirely different, given that the payment processor is no longer accepting payments on their behalf.

Re: What is the deal with the KEY?
Delays of up to a week or more aren't all that uncommon, but this is the first I've seen multiple posts saying people aren't even getting their keys that they paid for
