A couple of questions...

1. just wondering if any these modded drives will still allow me to simply play/read dvd, bluray and 4k discs or are they just dedicated to ripping?
2. Are any of these drives able to play/rip region-locked discs, specifically Region B Bluray??

Sorry if these are dumb questions. im interested in getting one of these drive and wanted to confirm before i do.

I just want to echo the above comments describing the quick responses from Bluntman and the quality of the drives. He was patient with me as I worked through some issues with getting payment through. He also was willing to arrange local pickup with a family member that was going to be visiting me a few days later. If you are looking for a drive in Canada, I would highly recommend reaching out while he still has drives.

Once the drive was in my hands it flawlessly copied a uhd HDR movie with zero issues.

I have a Verbatim (PIONEER) BDR-UD03 and am looking to flash, it's on firmware 1.14.

I have posted in another thread, and also just made a standalone post (hasn't yet been approved) but if they aren't responded to, I just need the patched firmware (I can install it myself). I am also in Canada (GTA), if you want context why I posted here. I can comment back here if I hear nothing on the other requests I made, if you can help.

All optical drives work with CD/DVD discs. I've never seen or heard of any model that doesn't. The most expensive Pioneer BDR-S13 models are the best at CD ripping but pretty much any drive will still do a good job.

Yeah I've always assumed that but I've gotten conflicting opinions on that but as was answered in a thread I posted here anything with a red laser should work just figured I ask just in case he had.
