Feature Request Auto Open Tray

#1 Post by sonixmon » Sun Jul 20, 2025 10:02 pm

I did not see an option for this, but upon completing RIP (successful) it would be great to eject the disc automatically. I have found that when you hit close on the pop up it wants to start reading the disc again then takes a while to scan before it wants to eject. It doesn't seem like a big deal until you're doing tons of movies!

The other benefit is, if you are working on something else while waiting it would be a good sign that it is done. :)

This is a pretty useful feature as it helps to easily identify that the ripping process is complete without It doesn't take too long.

You should really ask for pre and post scripts as these would solve this and plenty of other issues I've seen here being that users could post scripts.

Thanks for the responses.

While I see this is likely possible with scripting, if I had not already ripped 180 movies we decided to keep on Plex then I would. But for simplicity and a useful option for everyone IMO, I think it would be great to have it as an option in the application itself.
