At least we have clarified one point. You were talking about your UD03 but since it's flashed already to UD04 you should have called it UD04. And that was the Makemkv info you posted above.

I own an external Verbatim branded USB 3.0 slimline Blu-ray writer (Verbatim#43890) from Pioneer and want to enhance it (and alo prevent it from "forced software degration"):

Use a Windows PC or VMware. You seem to be on Linux and that is the issue.
