I think he was just commenting on the fact they won't be able to fit entire 4K catalogue on 192TB, which is fair, as they keep adding movies and have 3 different encodes for many, not sure how old that piece of marketing adcopy is. I am curious what the cut-off is for that tier though, but they probably just ask you if you want HDR, DV or SDR and if you're happy with the pre-selected list of titles or if you want certain movies to be included/excluded, lol. Maybe they will increase the size every year of the TB capacity? That's for the super rich folks anyway and/or those who have trash internet? haha.
Ah ok, that kind of makes sense. Wasn't sure what he was talking about.
I just added around 300TB to my storage array and that wasn't cheap, so I can't imagine what two of those Terra servers cost + every single movie in their catalog, sheesh.
Edit: Looks like the full system will set you back $90,000 USD

I never had this problem but I dont use composite or any addon anymore. The ugoos works 10times better with an SMB share: movies start playing faster and never crash.
i've tried that in the past, but not worked here. maybe the explanation was wrong on google, i don't know. do you have simple steps how to create an smb server?

Well first night with the Kscape was not very good... Tried two streams: The Accountant and Last of Us S02.

Accountant:
horrible Raised black in both HDR10/DV
DV to HDR10 conversion is incorrect
1080p SDR stream different master/framing and actually better than 4K!
https://slow.pics/c/YShhgXTe

Last of us:
Doesnt look right at all, brighter than MAX webdl...
https://slow.pics/c/U1B6JARQ

the only format that seems right is SDR:

I'll try one more movie tonight and if it's the same crap, yeah I'm returning this scam device.
You can read on their forum that P5 DV had a huge color shift not a long time ago so it seems the people in charge of the encoding on kscape are incompetent and lack quality control.

That is disappointing, but not surprising to me. Nearly every YouTube video I've seen of some super rich guy building or giving a tour of their private home theater and using KS, they never mention HDR/DV, but always talk about using some insane expensive (often SDR) projector, so KS probably added DV/HDR for marketing, but the customers they are really after are millionaires who probably couldn't tell apart SDR 1080p let alone 4K from true HDR/DV, if their life depended on it and just like the convenience and "prestige" of saying they own their super top tier system. I wonder if KS also has some internal training that encourages to push customers away from having any form of hybrid setup with UHD BD players or HDR/DV devices and instead go "all in" on KS. That wouldn't surprise me, they are in it for the $$ first and foremost, like most of these kinds of "high end" tech. Personally, this marketing image combined with their price points always made me highly skeptical of these guys, thanks for confirming it, RESET.

Great system for the Trump lovers. Super rich and they don't have a clue.

Sounds about right.

That SDR stream looks fantastic. Shame about the other formats.

Newer movies are quite expensive but the older ones are not that bad. This is in Canadian Dollar

OK, tested a new movie on KSCAPE, and it's the same crap. Blacks are not raised like in The Accountant, but the colors are desaturated and the brightness is not right. DV TV-LED is even worse. Compression is also slightly worse despite the much higher bitrate on KSCAPE. Definitely a terrible streaming service or device, at least for HDR10/DV, because SDR is fine.

And I've measured the whole Last of Us S02E01 episode. The KS stream(DV and HDR10) is 3 times brighter:
