@Yethidran
Please can you help me understand how you have 4x S11J-x (even Bill Gates doesn’t have that many of the original S11 drives!)
So did you apply/how did you apply the S11J-x 1.53 firmware to each of your X12-ebk‘s that presumably you shucked from cases?
Thanks in advance
Re: Pioneer BDR-X12 Flashed with Success!!
You are off track. The S11s were 208s or 209s. No way to convert X12s to S11.Batman&throbbin wrote: ↑Tue Jun 03, 2025 6:26 am@Yethidran

Post number 6 (I think it is) first page there is a photo of a screen featuring drive selection for 4x S11 1.53 (can only be J-x files)
Yes commonly used for BDR-208/209 (and S08/S09 BTW) - Why I was puzzled by seeing a photo for post number 4 show’s what look like 3 different types
TOP - 211EBK/UBK
2&3 - 208/209EBK BDXL labelled
BOT - X12 Not BDXL labelled
Quite familiar with each here in the UK, there have been several examples on eBay UK just this past six months sellers - Traders_Of_Speciality, 4K-Friendly, Asmcom also on there the past month, not with Pioneer though.
Some good examples including new, opened and flashed - mostly S11-J-x. Hence why I wondered if Yethidran had managed also to get an S11 onto SAT RS9000/9001 - if I’m offtrack maybe there are some comments/posts missing here perhaps?
I did continue an old conversation from the original thread six months ago, Yethidran not reading his posts so the plot thickens…

(Its this stupid mask!
Interesting the S11-J-x as opposed to 211M applied though, S11 features are more comprehensive, its what 4K-Friendly uses on most 20(x) and s0(x) as relative SAT
Case solved! A man showing off the massive drive collection but not featuring the X12 he got flashed.
Speaking of which @Asmcom if you’re reading, do you know how you had S12-UHT flashed to x12 you were selling a while ago 1/4 of ‘22 I think…
Were they 212x RS8F01? Or like my X-12 has 212M RS9000?

@Yethidran
Haha yes I wouldn’t argue with that!
Also just as confused as you as my drive looks different in two ways…
Yours has shiny front/tray and looks like a HiFi seperate with the cushion feet.
My X12 looks like an ebk without the BDXL label in white…
Baffled by product releases ‘20-‘22 its like they used every last type of plastics stocks on the 212M internal unit we have…
Thank you for your input!

Re: Pioneer BDR-X12 Flashed with Success!!
Hehehe!! i bought those golden feet just to make it look like the ultra expensive Pioneer 13Series drives..
the golden feet are actually made of plastic, and i just Super Glued them to stick it under the casing.
as for the "Glossy Facelift" i found a shop that had "Extra Glossy Face plates" and purchased it, and replaced the ultra boring original face plate..Pretty simple to do all the changes.
