Is the Pioneer BDR209-EBK Flashable for UHD compatibility?

Post by Deeply_Cynical »

The Blue laser in my WH14NS40 has just expired, I have an old Pioneer BDR-209EBK (Shows as a 209M in MakeMKV) lying around.
Is this flashable to be UHD compatible?

hello,

i have have the exact same Pioneer Drive. i bought this drive becuase my Asus drive just dont rip some of my UHD discs. so in the Makemkv software the pioneer shows as "enabled" but it wont read any UHD-Discs, unlike for the asus i cant find any info about what Firmware i need for the pioneer in order to make it read UHD-discs.

thanks in advance for any Help

Thanks. You don't have the exact same Pioneer drive and therefore I needed the Makemkv info. PM sent.
