Hi everyone, I've got a BDR-XD07U with firmware 1.00 that doesn't seem to want to load UHD discs and is running into more frequent issues with regular blu-rays. I didn't see this firmware on the list of officially supported firmware versions, either. Here's the info panel:

Does anybody know anything about the BDR-WX01DME which seems to be the only Pioneer drive available to purchase new in the UK now? How does it compare to the coveted BDR-X13/S13?

It doesn't mention supporting UHD, but perhaps like many other Pioneer drives it could do with a firmware flash?

Or, if anybody could sell me a BDR-X13 which is what I was really hoping for, I would be most grateful. Was holding off purchasing one until MakeMKV/LibreDrive supported them but now of course there appear to be none on the open market at all.

Hmm. It's rather difficult to justify the purchase not knowing whether it will actually work for UHD or not, on the other hand it's sure to sell out soon if I wait. What a gamble.

i think it will do UHD but you may need to crossflash and then you lose the other junk that drives does

I might take a punt. I'm only really interested in reading, maybe a little burning but it's unlikely.

I'll post the MakeMKV drive info if I do end up going for it.
