Segmentation fault when connecting to streaming server

I am trying makemkv for the first time and I wanted to watch a Bluray over the streaming server.
But when I try to connect to the streaming server with mplayer, makemkv stops with a segmentation fault.

I am using makemkv 1.7.0 on Gentoo Linux 64 bit with gcc 4.6.2

Same problem here with 1.7.2 on Ubuntu 11.04.
It happen whenever I switch the language of the stream.

Since I disabled the rip- and region-lock on my drive (LG LG BE12LU38) the transfer speed has increase fom 9 MByte/s to 40 MByte/s! After this switching between the languages (soundtracks) of the disk works almost instantly with a local connetion. When using XBMC on a remote PC it is taking much longer, but it works now.

Don't know if the riplock and the crash is related, but for me this was a solution.
I used the following application to disable the riplock:
