Hello!
I have been trying to play Bluray's / UHD's in VLC for some time.
Unfortunately it doesn't work the way I would like it to.
I just want to select a folder and the movie should be played with menus.
Unfortunately VLC fails here.
If this would also work from the TV
it would be great.
I have tried it with backups and MKVs.
The OS is Endeavouros Linux.
How do you solve the problem?
Many thanks in advance.
Yours sincerely, R.Lehmeier

VLC refuses to play Bluray and UHD's, which program do you use?
Re: VLC refuses to play Bluray and UHD's, which program do you use?
The problem is located between the screen and the PC. You should use google and learn how to use it. Generally I recommend standalone boxes like NVIDIA shield, Uugos or what I use is an Oppo clone.

You should use "Open disc...", select "Blu-ray", and then "Browse" for the folder containing your back-up.
For menu support, your installation of libbluray also needs to include these jars:
Code: Select all
/usr/share/java/libbluray-awt-j2se-1.3.4.jar
/usr/share/java/libbluray-j2se-1.3.4.jar
