There is actually no difference at all in DV black crush on this TV... cmv2.9 4.0, 10 000 4000 1000, all crushed the same at 72-73.
HDR10 and SDR are ok
Where's the issue in that pic? I see no banding or posterization.RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 3:34 amYeah HDR10 on the G5 is broken, no doubt. This is a lot worse than the C2: https://slow.pics/c/AYrYCbvm
this is not just one pic.. click on the image to switch to the HDR10 pic (or use your keyboard arrow)deadchip12 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 4:41 am

actually this is a slight improvement in cmv 2.9 4000 and 10 000nits.daffie wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 6:51 am@RESET
Hopefully a GOOD calibration will fix some things. Best to wait until the new TV has at least 100 hours uptime.
But I doubt you can get this black crush fixed in DV with calibration. 72-73 is really bad.
And hopefully firmware upgrades will do the rest to fix the issues.
So, even when you put your face right up to the screen, you still can't see the 65 to 72 flashing bars?RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 29, 2025 11:27 pmblacks are not raised in DV but crushed, even in cmv4.0

You don't need to see bar 65 and 66. Read my post from a few days ago.deadchip12 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 5:27 pmSo, even when you put your face right up to the screen, you still can't see the 65 to 72 flashing bars?RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 29, 2025 11:27 pmblacks are not raised in DV but crushed, even in cmv4.0

Yes, and even in cmv4.0 which is quite surprising. I'm confident this can be calibrated out.deadchip12 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 5:27 pmSo, even when you put your face right up to the screen, you still can't see the 65 to 72 flashing bars?
