Can't rip any Blu-ray discs

#1 Post by lolainslacks » Sun Dec 18, 2011 7:57 am

I've been trying with several Blu-rays and I get this error:
MakeMKV v1.6.16 win(x64-release) started
Using direct disc access mode
This disc uses newer version of AACS protection. Please let us know about it by visiting http://www.makemkv.com/a/?0dHR0dFoWDXw3C...
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Failed to open disc

Hi!

What are the specific titles and regions of your problematic commercial Blu-ray discs?

have you been previously successful using MakeMKV for the same purpose?

Heavenly Creatures, Subway, Phenomena, Gangs of New York, etc. Regions are 1, 2 and 4.

Nope, I haven't. I've never been able to rip any Blu-rays with it.

On the main MakeMKV screen it tells you what the drive model is.

Ok, it's a LG WH10LS30.

Doing a short search on that drive, and it doesn't appear to have any bad(things that inhibit what you want to do with it) features.

It could have started after you've inserted a certain newly released disc into this drive. Can you remember which one?
