I'm trying to open a .mkv file that plays on my Windows PC and my Oppo console blu-ray player, but when I try and open it with MakeMkv I get error "V_MS/VFW/FOURCC/DX50 not recognized" followed by "file has no video tracks".
Well it does have video because I can play the file, is there some codec I need for MakeMkv to understand the video format in the file or is this something that will be suppoted in a later release?

...and what do you want to achieve by doing this???
The file has a Russian audio track as the primary and English secondary, so I'm trying to make a new .mkv file leaving that outthe Russian one so the English track is the only one remaining.
Not sure why what I want to do with the file has any beaing on the error I'm reporting.
Use MKVToolNix. It can strip out unwanted audio, or switch what is the primary audio.
All without re-encoding. It just re-muxes the MKV so it's much faster.
