Hello,
So I've been a lurker on here and the subreddit for a while and I finally need to post a question. Recently my LG drive has been making weird noises every time I turn it on and I fear that it's on it's last leg. So I ordered two of the Pioneer BDR-212Vs from the Amazon listing that's been blowing up (fingers crossed they're pre-December 2022). I am aware that I need to email Billy for the flasher but I've also seen people messaging Cooper for it as well. I'm a little confused about what the difference is between messaging Billy or Cooper for the flasher and just needed a little more clarification.

Thank you. Simple instructions, easy to flash, took a few seconds.
I can recommend the 212v. Mine was purchased from Amazon for $90 last week and it's brand new, manufactured in March 2024, shipped with May 2022 firmware.

Ordered a Pioneer BDR-X13U-S from Amazon last week with my fingers crossed. Based on what I am seeing don't do it:
Drive Information
OS device name: H:
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-X13U
Revision: 1.04
Serial number: DFDLXXXXXXXX
Firmware date: 2023-08-01
Bus encryption flags: 1B
Highest AACS version: 81
LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: Pioneer RS9401
Firmware version: ID29
Correct me if I am wrong but the Firmware date is after November of 2022 so it needs to go back.
(Which is a real shame as this is probably the nicest external drive I've ever owned.)

Try to get a Vinpower 212V.
