So it's ready to be injected into the original bluray mkv file?RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 11:59 amGenerated means Generated in resolve. Only the scene cuts are original

Yes, but the original MEL RPU is probably fine. I don't know why there's a generated RPU for that movie on my GD.
EDIT: Ok I generated new metadata because the bd is cmv2.9 without an active/dynamic trim

Just curious: if we make mistakes during the cmv 4.0/DV transfer process e.g. the frames are not perfectly synced, will we be able to notice sth wrong in the picture while watching?RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 3:45 pmYes, but the original MEL RPU is probably fine. yes, brightness adjustements will be visible.
with tthe latest dovi_scripts, you can't do wrong. It will compare both sources scene cuts and tell you if there are differences.

Hi Reset
In the case of a cmv4.0 RPU, if L8 trims are present, do the L2 compatibility trims (100, 600, 1000) get ignored by the tv (assuming tv is cmv4 worthy)?

yes, L2 is always ignored with a cmv4.0 RPU + hardware, even without L8.

I believe Paddington in Peru also has CMv4.0.

cpm A14 build is out!
No longer need autostart.sh for DV metadata copying settings + other changes.

For the movie Longlegs (2024), bluray version only has hdr10. I can only find the streaming version with profile 8 DV. Is there a way to get profile 5 DV to add to the bluray version?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
P8 hybrid check must be done with the P5 webdl, so I can't help you here. This movie most likely doesn't have DV and that p8 rip is probably just a cheap hdr10plus conversiondeadchip12 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 03, 2025 4:16 am@RESET_9999

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I checked out doing this movie myself the other week - the web and UHD are different aspects ratios on the in movie elements I found (like when it changes to 4:3 framing in the movie - it's slightly different sized/aspect squares each in the UHD and WEB unless I was just being retarded) so the web won't work for the UHD for DV 'technically' seeing as DV has info related to total brightness in the frame (and diff size elements create diff brightness levels) along with dimension data - the HDR10+ metadata would work with the UHD as it isn't reliant on all that specific type of data for it's brightness adjustments IIRC - otherwise you would need to recalculate the DV data for the UHD specificallydeadchip12 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 03, 2025 4:16 am@RESET_9999
