Installing Makemkv on Ubuntu

I installed Makemkv on my Ubuntu 11.10.
It works but it is rather different than 11.04.

In 11.04 I could simply create a shortcut to Makemkv and on clicking the shortcut the application started.
Now the only way is to open a terminal and then digit "makemkv".

Does anybody know if there's a way to start Makemkv without using the terminal in Ubuntu 11.10 ? the search function of Unity does not find Makemkv so the only way I know is the terminal.
