UHD ripping to 1080p

Hey all,

I recently bought two films:

The Wild Robot
Transformers One

Both in 4K UHD. However, only The Wild Robot is converting into 4K .mkv while Transformers One is converting to 1080p (checked via media info).

What is with the discrepancy? I researched and saw TO is N4K and I don't see a reason this should be happening unless the BR4K version for some reason is not native 4K.

Any thoughts or anyone have the same issue?

4K UHDs are usually separate from 1080 disks, because they're different. If the file pulled by MakeMKV is only 1080, then you probably ripped the wrong disk. Were there two in the packaging?

Yeah I noticed almost immediately after that I'm an idiot and ripped the normal bluray instead of the 4K thinking it was just the special features (it was, but also had the film). Oopsie.
