Lol, yeah, I noticed that after I sent my post. I'm confident I can flash it myself, just not 100% sure what firmware to use. Found a Reddit post where someone listed the FW they used (also had the same drive, just different FW), just wanted to get some input from someone knowledgeable here first.

EDIT: Got it flashed successfully 👍🏼

I am still confused on whether or not patching this is possible.

If I do patch it, do i use the ASUS or the Pioneer?

yeah email me its a pioneer
you have to remember asus does not make optical drives they rebrand them from lg or pioneer
pioneers are the better ones

images is of the drive and what makemkv reported

odd the label says a205 and makemkv detected a105
but the bh50N was gold to me
