Assist with Pioneer BDR-XD07B

#1 Post by Cush1978 » Tue Jan 14, 2025 9:38 pm

I've just tried to rip my first Ultra HD/4k discs, but they won't even load. The drive just keeps trying to spin up and then quits. Reading through the forums and such, it seems like this drive would be supported and should work. Here's what MakeMKV has to say about the drive:

Drive Information
OS device name: E:
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-XD07
Revision: 1.03
Serial number: ...
Firmware date: 2020-08-20
Bus encryption flags: 13
Highest AACS version: 81

LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: RS8D30
Firmware name: PIONEER BDR-BDS7
Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: 1.03
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Yes

Is there something additional I need to do? I'm running Windows 11.

Thanks for any help you can provide,

Michael
