I've recently acquired a Pioneer BDR-S13U-X 5.25 SATA drive from Billycar11 to begin the journey of digitizing my library and I must say, I'm quite impressed. No issues whatsoever and the drive is exceptional quality. To give you an idea of how quiet it is, while ripping I had to put my ear to it to make sure it was running - and the drive is in a room that is acoustically treated. I can't recommend the BDR-S13U-X 5.25 enough. Same with Billy.

I recently ordered the Pioneer BDR-213/2213 SATA 5.25 SATA so I can "cut the cable" so to speak. It's time to get away from the blood-sucking streaming services. I'm happy to report that this drive is doing exactly what I was hoping for, it works great and looks good mounted in my workstation. Thank you, Billy, I couldn't ask for more.

After watching a Linus Tech Tip video about backing Blu-ray discs I bought a Pioneer BDR-XD08B USB C Drive that was included in one of their links. While the drive could read standard Blu-ray discs I was extremely disappointed that I could not watch the 4K UHD Movies I purchased on my computer.

Luckily, I found Billycar11's post and ordered a Pioneer BDR-S13UBK drive from them that allowed me to play and backup my 4K UHD movies.

If my Pioneer BDR-XD08B drive ever becomes flashable to play 4K UHD Discs I would love to get it flashed too!

Just bought a drive from Billycar11. Super easy transaction and incredibly fast response.

Sent him initial email on 12/20/24. Received drive on 12/24/24.

Ordered a Pioneer S13UBK. Drive looks great, works great. Comes in original box. Replacing an LG drive that failed. I used to flash my own drives, but didn't want to deal with the hassle this time.

Just one point of clarification (I misunderstood this), the $10/$20 discount is for the MakeMKV license if you buy a drive from billycar11. It is not a discount on the drive itself.
