Blu-ray problem with Pioneer BR/DVD Reader

#1 Post by collieindigo » Mon Oct 10, 2011 12:05 pm

Hello,

I use a Pioneer BD-RW BDV-102SO with Ubuntu 11.04.
Is it possible to make the Pioneer working with makemkv ?

MakeMKV_log.txt
(78.64 KiB) Downloaded 477 times
With best regards
Jens

This makes no sense at all. Did it ever work with previous version of MakeMKV? Can you try running makemkv as root or add yourself to "cdrom" group?

Code: Select all

sudo makemkvcon info --debug=1 disc:0

I have tried it with Win7, same result. But with ANYDVD in the background i can use Makemkv without problem.
Maybe it's a problem with m? Blu-ray Drive. It was built for a consumer Blu-ray Player
I can play Blu-ray on the PC only with ANYDVD in the background.

Ouch, such drives are generally not supported. Even with AnyDVD (or any other program) you will have occasional discs that would fail to open - with such drive AnyDVD just downloads keys for known discs from Internet.
