Hi friends,
This is more a Windows issue than an issue with flashing, so forgive me if this isn't in the right section!
I tried flashing my WH16NS40 drive with the flasher tool and makemkv still says it has original firmware. I noticed I accidentally downloaded the old version of sdftools, so I downloaded the current version, and this is how it looks when I open it on my screen:
I've tried changing the "high dpi scaling" settings, and when I set the program to resize based on the system settings or system settings (enhanced), it will open but nothing appears but a blank window down on the main taskbar.
Nothing I seem to do is working. Does anybody know a way to fix this? I have Windows 11 and am using a 4K television as a monitor. I don't have a separate PC monitor at the moment.
Trying to flash my WH16NS40 - scaling error on sdftools?

Did you actually apply the DPI changes in the exe properties?Nippi wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 3:58 amHi friends,

You could just use the old version if it still causes issues.
Cheers

Yes, I apply the changes, then when I try to open it, it just shows a blank window on the task bar and nothing opens.MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 9:24 pmDid you actually apply the DPI changes in the exe properties?Nippi wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 3:58 amHi friends,

The problem with the old version is that it didn't flash my drive when I tried to at least twice. It made backups but did not write to the drive. MakeMKV still says I have an original firmware drive when I used the old version.

It appears under my drive where it says "firmware support", it says no. Does this mean it cannot be flashed?
If so... I'll have to return this drive.

Using the command lines worked. Didn't even need the GUI. MakeMKV now shows it is patched. Thank you for your help!Billycar11 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 7:46 pmIt can be flashed use the guide below cmd commands or email me for an auto flasher.
