Hi I am looking for a new UHD drive to rip my collection. Looking at the thread seems like there are possible instructions for this drive Digital Pioneer BDR-212V on amazon. Can you please share instructions and I'll look to buy the drive.

Hi, also looking for a UHD Ripping solution. I'm on Mac. I have access to a Windows 11 Laptop if I need to flash something though.
So far the info here is a bit confusing.

What drives should I be looking at? And Which firmware?

I installed my Pioneer BDR-212V tonight and flashed it, and it looks like it's working great. I was able to successfully rip a 4K movie with it. Thanks!

I recently noticed the Amazon page for the Pioneer BDR-212V where I bought mine says there's only 5 left in stock now:

It seems these drives are popular - and probably good reason. I bought one and tried a couple 4K rips to test it, and it worked great.

Hi, i am in the uk and looking to buy a drive that will use the Libre drive can someone recommend a reliable drive for this. for home use not doing anything too silly with it. i just want to have a go. please PM me the info.

I have an internal 5.25" blu ray writer that works well for normal ripping.

I might be interested in upping that to a drive capable of ripping 4k discs. I'm in the UK. What's the best drive options for this? (both internal and external).

Verbatim 43888 external or Vinpower 212V internal. Vinpower needs to be flashed. The Verbatim works right away.
