Makemkv Eurkeka 4,5 dvd problem.

Several years ago, I used Makemkv to rip the Eureka dvd set to my synology for plex. Recently I noticed season 4.5 is missing so I attempted to rip it. However, it's throwing errors. I looked through the forum and found similar issues saying it was signs of a bad disk.

I just got a new copy of season 4.5 which sems o be giving me the same errors. Can anyone help me solve this. I'm using the latest version of mkv and all my other disks seem to go through without errors.

Without seeing the errors/how it failed, how can anyone explain it? Please post the MakeMKV output.

Nope. Forum storage quote is often over capacity for new attachments. Best to copy/paste text.

That's it? Debug noise aside (only Mike has the decoder ring), I see no obvious failure.

A few things you might experiment with...

DVD opening modes - CellWalk, CellTrim, CellFull . CellTrim is successful for some.

Manual DVD mode

To expose, check 'Expert mode' in Preferences > 'General' tab

Thank you d00zah. Right now, I'm letting it run its course through disk 2 of season 4.5. If it works, I'll try the others. My only issue now is figuring out what episode is what file.

FileBot figured out what I already had on the nas and renamed them to plex's format. but is giving conflicting results on these. Unfortunately google only list them by season and not disks. Maybe am missing something or an easier way.

Crazy question, what would the noise be, RF interference or something? Again, Thank you!!

Sorry, literary license... since only Mike can accurately decode them, all the 'DEBUG: Code..." msgs are largely 'noise', verbal clutter to we mere mortals. A status of 0 often denotes success, but beyond that...

edit: As to which episode is which, labeling often only exists in graphical menus, so there's not really any metadata to scrape. Everyone seems to have different solutions... some maintain online databases, etc.. Personally, I just consult a source like https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/108545-3- ... m/season/1, or IMDB & compare runtimes. Not ideal, but it gets the job done. YMMV
