New BD+ - X-men 1st class, StarWars saga set

Post by mike admin » Mon Sep 12, 2011 12:29 pm

Please be advised that a new generation of BD+ protection has arrived. The known titles that use the new generation are "X-MEN first class" and "Star Wars - the complete saga disc set". As usual, MakeMKV should be able to handle this protection very soon. Please check this topic for updates and submit dumps as usual.

UPDATE: MakeMKV 1.6.15 has updated builtin generic SVQ - it should open any BD+ disc released to date without the need for submitting bd+ dumps or download any SVQ files.
UPDATE2: SVQ file updated for "Phantom Menace"

Did you pay for the software? It is fine. Developer probably has a life.

Yes, I did pay. But I was just kidding! Couldn't you detect the sarcasm?

With the release of Star Wars today, it'd be great to get a fix for this.

Is there anything we can do to help?

How do we send in a dump? Or do you already have enough?

I'm bummed! I just bought star wars but can't watch it yet. :(

I guess I'll have to install powerdvd and watch it on the laptop.

Good luck with the new protection.

I found that the latest AnyDVD-HD ripped the Star Wars blurays to hard disk without problems, and then MakeMKV was able to use the ripped files to create MKVs.

I think AnyDVD-HD makes a good complement to MakeMKV (I have paid for both programs). I usually use MakeMKV, but on the <5% of discs that MakeMKV cannot rip, I have found that most of them can be ripped by AnyDVD-HD, and then subsequently made into MKVs with MakeMKV or Handbrake.
