So when I try to rip this particular disc with makemkv the drive spins up the disc, makemkv begins it's loading cycle for a minute or so, then it reads "No disc inserted".
It's the second disc (weirdly the first one worked fine) of the:
Doctor Who: The Complete Thirteenth Series (Blu-ray , the Australian copy)
I've tried different drives, different computers, and even returned the disc and bought another just to have the exact same issues.
I'm assuming this is a decryption error, I can't think of anything else it could be. Some help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Doctor Who Disc Error
Re: Doctor Who Disc Error
Does your computer see the disc in the drive in either Finder (macOS) or Windows Explorer?
Re: Doctor Who Disc Error
No it just lists the drive as it does empty
Re: Doctor Who Disc Error
So that's an issue between the drive and the disc. Perhaps the disc is dirty? Sometimes there can be an almost invisible film on a disc that impairs a drive's ability to read the disc.
In any case, if the computer can't register that there's a disc in the drive, there's not much MakeMKV can do.
