No. You need a Windows PC or an emulation.

Thanks for the help.
I am able to successfully flash to a compatible firmware by trying it on a Windows device :D

You need to post your Makemkv info. For the other stuff you need to start a separate post. Sounds you are completely new to this.

AND DONT UPDATE YOUR PIONEER FIRMWARE from their site.

thank you. no pressure but lmk your thoughts on the following:
1) is there a reason that your share isnt publicly available in the thread? if it is agaisnt the forum rules , we're OK to break them via pm?

1b) and my first post here so "Sounds you are completely new to this." is fair

2) maybe nothing to respond to and i sincerely appreciate the time spent writing the original application..however , it would be nice to re-write the process with flashrom and bin or something other than an exe. idk im planning to look into a different process.

takecare.

1) Yes. But I will not elaborate why.

2) ???? You have no idea regarding the history and the methods needed to make this work. So don't leave any unqualified comments. The skunk works of this goes back decades.

You need 3 posts before the PM restriction is lifted IIRC, not time lurking.

If you updated your FW since acquiring the drive, you shot yourself in the foot...

There is no way to downgrade to 1.01 if I locate a copy of that firmware?

Sorry. You don't know jack about this program, its history and any other thing regarding it. You are just cocky. Why don't you program your own flasher if you think it's as easy as 1-2-3?
