Wondering if you could help me on the flash. My version is 1.0 but I am unable to find 1.01 firmware online.

i found a "Drive Utility" from pioneer : https://pioneer.jp/device_e/product-e/i ... 01r_e.html

im also interested in any best-practices/suggestions for this drive. i wonder if its possible to playback discs on an android tv (usb connection with Sony TV).

You need to post your Makemkv info. For the other stuff you need to start a separate post. Sounds you are completely new to this.

AND DONT UPDATE YOUR PIONEER FIRMWARE from their site.

1) is there a reason that your share isnt publicly available in the thread? if it is agaisnt the forum rules , we're OK to break them via pm?

1b) and my first post here so "Sounds you are completely new to this." is fair

2) maybe nothing to respond to and i sincerely appreciate the time spent writing the original application..however , it would be nice to re-write the process with flashrom and bin or something other than an exe. idk im planning to look into a different process.

You need 3 posts before the PM restriction is lifted IIRC, not time lurking.

If you updated your FW since acquiring the drive, you shot yourself in the foot...
