Hi!

"Cinavia"/Verance protection IN NO WAY prevents you from making a backup. What it does is disrupt and/or stop proper PLAYBACK on many standard (not "jailbroken") PS3s and (thusfar) on a handful of standalone Blu-ray players.

If you're saying that you cannot make a backup at all, that's definitely nothing to do with "Cinavia"/Verance.

On the other hand, if you're saying you've successfuly made a playback, but it's useless because when played, it generates a "Cinavia" notification and interferes with or stops further playback, presently, the only real options are to purchase one of the many players that do not recognize this protection or, if you're using an "infected" PS3, seek out products that can either rollback its firmwareto its pre-"Cinavia" condition or circumvent the "Cinavia" coding ("jailbreaking" or various dongles).

Another alternative, from the authors at DVDFab requires the use of 50GB media and the creation of a different Blu-ray format...

1) Specifically WHAT happens when you try to make a backup copy (either full disc or .MKV)? Describe what hapens separately with each program you've tried to use.

2) Try again with MakeMKV and submit the log.

3) Is this a new Blu-ray release of "Scarface", or the one from (IIRC) 2005?
