Same question but for the U.S.A.
If your in the USA I would recommend the s13ubk I have them with old fw if you want one.
Hey Billy thanks for the reply, I recently was directed to the post you made here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19634 and was trying to do it myself because I enjoy it. I ordered one of the drives you have listed (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C2KKWYP2?psc=1) and am trying to flash it. I was watching the video that was linked in main thread there (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyQV1aPlbow) and it says at time stamp 1:08 that if the drive platform is anything other than MT1959 then the drive will not work at all.
The drive I purchased is not listed MT1959, it shows Pioneer RS9200 so I am guessing that even though this was a suggested drive that this one will not work because it has the incorrect Drive Platform. Am I correct on that?

oh ok, so the ones you have for sale are ones that you have a special setup for to be able to flash. I am guessing that would include the s13ubk you mentioned, if I wanted that one to work I'd have to buy from you and not order it and flash it myself?

I would like to try the DIY flash, I'll look at getting one of the LG drives. Is there anything I should be mindful of with those?

Please let us know your country of residence to give the best advice for a Pioneer. And also if you prefer a slim or 5,25" drive.
I'm in the USA and would prefer a 5,25" drive.

Thanks!
