With a little patience, I think it will be available soon. You can also use Snap as a temporary workaround.

I hope so, it's a great PPA.
Totally agree.
Also I hope it offers arm64 builds in the future.

Same here! The snap version complains that it can't get full access to the DVD/BluRay drives. I already have to use the mozilla version of FireFox, because of sandboxing issues.

Not an ARM user but that would be great.

Hello
There are fixes for the permission problems of the Firefox snap involving ... flatpack tools. Google it. (I've used them but can't remember what and where)...
All in all, these snaps are a bad fix for a problem and do not solve the security issue they were supposed to solve.... But "it's the future".....

Why I really desire continued support from the PPA or other .deb repo, I really don't wanna use a Snap or – for that matter – Flatpak version, but I also want automatic updates instead of having to compile the application myself every time.

I personally do not understand why people want a deb so bad. It's not that difficult or time consuming to just built MakeMKV yourself. And it's something you only do every few months.

Snap makes software bloat by breaking useability. A Firefox Snap has been mentioned...
#!/bin/bash
...
... imagine a small script that handles magnets links and .torrents...
... uses ...
curl...
grep...
etc...
Now tell FireFox to use that script to open magnet links.... BAM!! No joy, the Firefox snap doesn't have curl, grep, etc...

It's called living in the future (package management), & I don't want to go backwards from the high bar set of having a PPA just do all the work for me, literally why would I voluntarily want to move backwards in terms of QoL.
